Many
people suffer from allergies and intolerances but are unaware of
the effect they maybe having on their body. We are pleased to be
able to offer an allergy test designed to diagnose if and what your
body is allergic too.
FAQ’s
How is an allergy test performed?
The
testing method used is one of several capable of use within the
field of Bio-Electronic Regulatory Medicine (BER). The equipment
used is the German made MORA RM10S. This system is based on the
theory of utilising the acupuncture pressure points on the fingers
or toes to measure resistance in the body to substances the client
wishes to be tested for.
The
patient holds an electrode in one hand that is connected to the
testing unit and a probe is placed on an acupuncture pressure point
on a finger or toe on the opposite side of the body, thus placing
the patient in a circuit with the machine. Samples of the potential
allergen are placed in the diagnostic unit which will then indicate
whether there is any resistance from the patient to the substance
in question.
What is tested?
The
basic allergy and intolerance test will include over 100 substances
and a vitamin and mineral deficiency test. The patient’s results
are recorded by the tester, after which advice as to how to eliminate
the offending foods is given. In addition, if deemed necessary,
then appropriate supplementation will be recommended. Testers recommend
a follow up appointment for a retest after a period of between 4
and 12 weeks depending on the specific results so that progress
can be monitored. After 3 months on the elimination programme the
patient is advised on the safe re-introduction of foods back into
their diets.
Does
it hurt?
No,
the testing is non-intrusive and completely pain free.
Can children be tested?
Yes,
minimum age for testing children is 7. Please note that the child
must be able to stay still for approximately 30 minutes.
Will
I have to give up certain foods forever?
No,
we will compile your own personal elimination programme with a view
to re-introducing the problem foods back into your diet after a
minimum of 3 months.
Will
any medication I am taking be affected?
This
is a complementary diagnostic therapy that combines well with traditional
medicine.
