We reserve the right to request
a 50% deposit to secure your booking which may be
paid over the telephone using your debit or credit
card.
Your right to cancel
The following terms apply to all
appointments made for Monday to Saturday - excluding
wedding make-up. See below for special terms applicable
to wedding make-up and Sunday appointments.
At least 48 hours notice is requested
if you need to cancel or change your appointment.
Otherwise the late cancellation costs as laid out
below will be charged.
Cancellation or change of treatment
times within 48 hours of your booking will incur
a charge of 50% of the full treatment value. If
you fail to show for the appointment, your treatment(s)
will be charged at full cost. If part of a booking
is cancelled or changed after arrival, the full
cost of the treatment(s) as booked will remain payable
upon departure. If you have a localized contra-indication,
we will adapt the treatment accordingly to ensure
you receive a full session for your allocated time.
If you have a contra-indication which means we can’t
carry out your treatment we will endeavour to offer
you an alternative.
As we are unable to judge reasons
for change, cancellation or non-arrival, guests
are reminded that no exceptions to the above conditions
will be made and that any booking made with the
North Spa (verbal or written) forms a legally binding
contract.
How to cancel or change your appointment:
Cancellations should be made by calling us on 01744
755 702. If you are cancelling outside of our normal
operating hours - you may cancel by email (info@thenorthspa.co.uk)
but this should be followed up by telephone during
our regular operating hours.

Wedding make-up
Wedding make-up may be booked up
to 6 months prior to your wedding day. We are unable
to accept bookings prior to this.
In the unlikely but possible event
of Catherine becoming unavailable on your wedding
day, we reserve the right to provide service through
another trained therapist to carry out the application.
Consultation
You may book your consultation with
Catherine to discuss your bridal make-up and the
service offered. This is normally offered 3 weeks
prior to your wedding day.
Deposits and final payment
A 50% deposit is required to secure
any wedding make-up. This is to be paid at the time
of booking. Final payment is due on the day of your
make-up trial.
Your right to cancel or change
You reserve the right to cancel
your wedding day make-up until 72 hours prior to
your wedding day. The following charges will be
made and late cancellation costs as laid out below
will be charged.
More than 61 days notice. Full refund
less £15 administration charge.
Up to 61 days to wedding day - 30% Charge.
60-31 days to wedding day - 50% Charge.
30-7 days to wedding day - 75% Charge.
7 days or less until wedding day - 100% Charge.
Trials: If you wish to change the date and time
of your make-up trial, standard cancellation terms
apply.

Gift vouchers
Gift Vouchers are non refundable
and are valid for 6 months from the purchase date
and cannot be accepted after their expiry date.
Vouchers may be used for services only from Monday
to Saturday. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash,
sold or transferred.
Gift vouchers are not redeemable
against the following items or services:
• Over the counter beauty
products and retail product sales
Your 5 digit gift voucher number
must be quoted at the time of booking and the voucher
handed to the therapist before the start of your
treatment. You are not under obligation to use the
full value of your vouchers during one session.
Late cancellation and "failure
to show" terms as laid out above also apply
to gift vouchers - which will be voided at the North
Spa should you fail to give the required notice.
Please check required notice periods based on the
value of the booked treatment(s).

Our right to cancel
If a therapist is not available
to carry out your treatments through circumstances
beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer
the booking to an alternative therapist. In unusual
circumstances we may need to cancel your booking.
In the event that we cannot fulfill your appointment,
we will contact you by telephone - where possible.

Our rights
We reserve the right to:
• Modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently,
any treatment or service (or any part thereof) with
or without notice to you and you confirm that we
shall not be liable to you or any third party for
any modification to or withdrawal of the service
or treatment
• Change the conditions from time to time,
following such change shall be deemed to be your
acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility
to check regularly to determine whether the conditions
have been changed. If you do not agree to any change
to the conditions then you must immediately stop
using our services.

Refunds
We do not offer refunds for any
completed services. However if you are in any way
dissatisfied with any aspect of your experience,
please contact us. We will try our utmost to resolve
any problems.

Your file
You agree to keep your personal
record held by the North Spa updated with your full
contact details - which will enable us to contact
you in the event of any change relating to your
appointments – together with your up to date
medical history. Where possible, please provide
both landline and mobile telephone numbers, and
an emergency contact number.

Mobile Phones
In the interest of comfort of all
our clients, please refrain from using a mobile
phone and ensure it is switched off for the full
duration of your time at the North Spa.

Children
Please understand that we cannot
accommodate children under the age of 12 - unless
supervised by an adult during your treatment.

Age Restrictions
We only treat people over the age
of 16 years of age for certain treatments. In some
cases written parental consent and attendance may
be required and we reserve the right not to treat
clients. Please call for details.

Relevant medical conditions
Please inform use at the time of
booking of any medical condition including pregnancy,
verucaes, epilepsy and diabetes as some treatments
may not be appropriate for you
Treatment times
All treatment times quoted include
changing and allows time for any consultations required
and completion of forms
Payment
All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable)
at the current rates and are correct at the time
of entering the information onto the system. The
total cost of your booking or product is the price
as set out on this website.
You confirm that the credit/debit
card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit
cardholders are subject to validation checks and
authorisation by the card issuer.
For gift vouchers and products:
If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or
does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us,
we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
Special Offers / Package deals
All deals offered by the North Spa management outside
the official advertised deals are for cash or cheque
payments only.
Anyone wishing to pay by card for
such deals will be charged an additional 5% surcharge
to cover card processing costs.
All package deals (i.e. 3 floats
for £70 etc…) are valid for 6months
unless otherwise stated and are non transferable
Contra-indications and Contra-actions
• We do not recommend waxing
or facials directly before or after any form of
heat treatment.
• To gain maximum benefits from essential
and aromatherapy oils, we suggest you avoid showering
for at least 4 hours after treatments using these
and even leave the oils on overnight if you can.
• Avoid drinking alcohol after any treatment
and ensure you drink plenty of water.
• If you have any allergies, particularly
to nuts, seafood or wheat, you may be asked to take
a patch test prior to any skin treatments.
• If you suffer from skin sensitivity, severe
contact eczema, dermatitis or psoriasis we may ask
you to take a patch test prior to any skin treatments.
• We do not recommend pedicures or reflexology
if you suffer from athletes foot, verrucae or fungal
infections – at least until they are fully
healed.
• We do not recommend aromatherapy treatments
if you are within the first three months of pregnancy.
Other treatments may also be advised against or
require adaptation. Please call for details.
Personal Belongings
All personal belongings brought
on to the premesis are done so at the owners risk.
The North Spa accepts no responsibility for any
damage, loss or theft to personal belongings whilst
in the premesis.
